Too. Damned. Early.
November 13th is too early to be putting up wreaths of holly with big red bows on your house.
What is the point of "seasonal" decoration, if it's up all year?

+1.
This past Monday, while driving to work, I was passed by a little red car with a Christmas wreath tied to the front.
Apparently, tacky lives year round.
After our daughter left to go to college and then get married, my wife and I stopped most of the holiday decorations.
We do put a wreath on the door, a Christmas present some years ago, and my wife exchanges her candles for red and green ones.
Our Christmas tree for the last several years as a small 8" tree that we set on the mantle, out of reach of our cats.
We've even reduced our gift-giving to our daughter, SIL and Grandkids. However, this year, I may get my wife her own "wicked-looking" black rifle.
Yup....it's that time of the year again. Note to self: keep extra ear plugs available, christmas jingles playing in every store and shopping mall, 24/7 for the next 6 weeks..
Like the year round Christmas stores, it will NEVER go away! My tree is one of those little gumdrop ones, but do you know how hard it is to find gumdrops anymore?
When I rule the world, hanging holiday decorations more than a month before the holiday in question will be punished with public flogging.
Yesterday I saw a Halloween skeleton wired to the brush guard on a Suburban. It had a Santa hat.
Darn, and here we are planning to move before Christmas. I was just getting ready to plug in the lights I left up from last year :)
Despite the risk of receiving a public flogging, I admit to being an early Christmas decorator. I have what I feel to be a legitimate excuse though.
I host the Thanksgiving dinner for both sides of our family. For Christmas, we generally go to their houses, so if I didn't decorate early, they'd not get to enjoy my decorations.
It takes me about a week to decorate the house when you factor in work and regular household duties, so my tree is going up tomorrow at the latest. The curtains will remain shut and none of the outdoor decorations will be lit until Thanksgiving night though, so I am pretty much keeping it to myself until then. :D
