Apology
By the way, it was rude of me to hijack Caleb's thread with almost 1500 words in the comments section, and I do apologize. I started out just responding to the post, and the riff just went on and on. I should have reined it in when I started numbering frickin' paragraphs. :rolleyes:

In Caleb's shoes, I'd think about a point-counterpoint kind of post where you and he each take a little time to write thoughtful, planned pieces that riff on each other. But I'm not in Caleb's shoes, and he may have considered that more of a one-off, spur-of-the-moment thing on his part.
I actually did apologize to him elsewhere, too. Also:
1. I linked him. Again.
2. In my defense, he and I have actually discussed a series on the issue of police and the public's perception of them.
3. I'll go apologize there, too.
Apology accepted, but also wasn't really necessary. When I was ranting on FB this morning, I was more referring to the sort of mindless drivel I get about "The Seekrit Muslin wants to ban ur guns" and stuff like that.
Your comment was thoughtful and articulate, which is probably more than can be said for most of my writing these days.

Better yet, use it as fodder for your own post, and put a link to it in Caleb's comment section.
