Who's surprised? Not you. Certainly not me.

Perhaps another kind of motivation poster should have hung in the boardrooms of those companies that have recently been bailed out by the United States federal government.

I'm thinking that the entire text of the Aesop's Fable about "The Dog And The Wolf."

Hmmm... perhaps there's a shilling or two to be made, printing, mounting, and framing them for sale to businesses teetering on the brink?

It would be poetic justice, except now the .gov is talking about extending the pay-control power to cover anyone involved in interstate commerce, even if he, she or it did not receive bail-out bucks.

I might be feeling some schadenfreude except for the part where last summer the Fed and Treasury made these banks an offer they couldn't refuse...or else. Now Ken Lewis has been run off for following Federal orders and the money the others were forced to take is being used as a justification for nationalizing the firms.

Or maybe the CEOs of those companies should have read Atlas Shrugged. Which this is right out of.

Which scares me more than I care to think about right now.
