On vacation.
In 25.5 hours, my wife and I expect to be wheels-up on our first international excursion together.
I shan't be live-blogging any of this.
I suspect that I will return sunburned, poorer, laden with extra zeros and ones on my memory chips, and with my liver slightly the worse for wear.
Mind yourselves in my absence. I'll be back in a bit.

ENJOY Matt!
Sir, if you THINK you might be sunburnt planning ahead is necessary. SPF is your FRIEND.
I can tell you from personal experience nothing kills the fun faster than having to hokey pokey your way through a vacation bc you didn't take 15 minutes to lotion up. //pontification
Enjoy; you've earned it.
Regards,
Rabbit.
heh. wv=hocked. How I'll be able to afford to take any time off.
Enjoy, man.
Lily, I completely agree. 100%.
I also have found that, as swarthy as I might get to being, I can manage to burn myself even after applying SPF 50.
And if you bathe/snorkel, don't forget to reapply the 50 SPF sun protection... I did that, spent a week in a thai hospital with 2nd degree burns.
Have fun, you two!
:)
I hope y'all are having a grand time. :)
Already burned a bit, because the cotton T shirt that I was wearing floated in the salt water. We don't wear sunblock (much) because we're protecting the coral, etc.

I have been compulsively checking in for pictures since before your departing flight was even wheels-up...
None to be sent before Saturday night/Sunday morn. This terminal at the hotel is 15 min only, and state-of-the-art, circa 1996. I brought nothing to upload pics with, even if I could find a compatable port on the back of this tower. I managed to kill the digicam in Guatamala, but not before getting some impressive shots of Tikal. You will never feel more insignificant than you do at that Mayan site.
Charging up the phone to use its camera and the cheapo disposable 35mm we just bought for the duration.
We would prefer to stay down here.
Have fun!
