Haiku #15: "Lift Assist" Call
My back is too tight.
Four dozen stone is HEAVY.
Diet incentive.

If you don't draw yours, I won't draw mine. A police officer, working in the small town that he lives in, focusing on family and shooting and coffee, and occasionally putting some people in jail.

4 dozen stone?
Thats...like 672 pounds, right?
What was your encounter with that weight?
Deadlifting it?
I'm in awe.
I've DL-ed 420 a few times, and thought I was doing OK.
...but 672? Wow!
$100 and the loser buys dinner :-) That's the one I'm in right now to lose 15 lbs.
TJIC-- No, I didn't lift it all by myself.
I was helping our fire department lift a person of about that weight. There's only so much room at the back of the ambulance, and I ended up getting one side of the back of the gurney as we put it in. Three hundred some-odd isn't a lot of weight, until you find that you're in an odd position to snatch it.
But when you find yourself in the presence of one such as this, you find yourself turning down second helpings. Or even a Tic Tac.
Massage? ;)
I feel your pain, literally. We had a 618lb patient a few months ago. We have specialized equipment for handling patients of this size, including a special purpose ambulance.
They rejected my idea to name it "Bock's Car". Either my reference was to obscure OR they figured out what I was talking about.
